Installing Bazaar on Windows

Choose the most recent bzr-setup-*.exe from the download page

This is the installer for stand-alone bzr.exe with optional TortoiseBzr and bzr-svn plugins.

This is the best choice for Bazaar users on Windows, particularly if you don't already have Python. You can also get original source-only packages, and packages for Unix, Mac OS and Cygwin.

You can use most of the Bazaar plugins ( excluding some GUI plugins) as long as they are installed in your Application Data/bazaar/2.0/plugins directory. If you have Python 2.4/2.5 installed, and you want to install all dependencies yourself, please use the Python-based installer linked to below.

Alternative, Python-based Installation on Windows

If you have Python 2.4/2.5/2.6 already installed on your system, then you could use the Python-based installer instead of the standalone Windows installer. It contains bzr python sources and documentation, and provide handy uninstall feature (via usual Add/Remove Programs dialog).

You must install all dependencies libraries by yourself. This version has no limitation on using GUI plugins.

Note for Python 2.4 users: you must have either pywin32 or ctypes installed to work with new fast formats. See: py2.4 win32 libraries

Choose the most recent bzr-*.win32-py*.exe from the download page

Older versions and release candidates

All win32 installers are available for download here, or in Launchpad. All releases should be signed by either Alexander Belchenko (gpg C9B1C025), John Arbash Meinel (gpg 848D0003), Alexander Haro (gpg 0E3CC8C1) or Mark Hammond (gpg 27424608).
